Annual Spring Seminar - Calgary, Alberta

The Calgary Police Service Canine Unit in celebrating its 50th Anniversary is proud to be the host agency for the 2010 CPCA Spring Seminar scheduled for May 24 – 27, 2010. This year’s seminar will focus on high risk deployments with an introduction to hard surface tracking. In addition there will also be a drug detection component.
This year we are pleased to welcome Ken Licklider of Vohne Liche Kennels, Steve White of HITT Tracking Training System, Internationally recognized speaker Brian Willis and Travis Cox of EMS as guest speakers.
As Monday May 24, 2010 is a travel day a meet and greet has been scheduled for the evening which will allow all attending members to gather at the hotel. The Seminar officially kicks off on Tuesday with a classroom day with many of the above mentioned guest speakers. Wednesday will be a practical day with all the participants split into syndicates. Thursday will again consist of syndicates in the morning and a fun obstacle course in the afternoon. The Seminar will wrap up Thursday evening with a banquet.
The seminar will be limited to 40 K9 teams in General Purpose and 10 in Drug Detection.
The entry fee is $200 per K9 team or observer.
